  • Condition: Item has been repurposed from a remanent of an late 1800s' hand-knotted Antique-Bidjar rug. This is a corner piece that has been machine bound, with original fringe left intact. Rug was professionally washed prior to repurposing. Pile is still nice and thick. Rug has minor imperfections, as any handmade item, but is strong and durable and will last another 100 years. We only used the best pieces from this old wonderful rug. Please see all pictures to aid in your item description and ask any questions.

    We are professional Oriental Rugs cleaners and have a small retail shop.
    We have developed these one of kind small mats which work excellent as animal beds , as well as can serve as small entry mats or fire place mats, while enhancing the beauty of the area.
    This mat was repurposed  from
    the piece of a corner of
    an (c1875-1900) Antique-Bidjar rug.  and we left the fringe intact and machine bound the outside perimeter.  The pile is very thick.  The rug is pure wool on a cotton foundation made with pure organic dyes.
    Animals  are drawn to the natural fiber a wool rug has to offer.
    *Anti-static-so kitties naturally gravitate and likes to sleep on it.
